Cabarita House Master Builder’s Awards
While we do not apply directly for awards, preferring to let the architecture speak for itself, it is appreciated that one of the most successful houses, the Cabarita House constructed by GNC Quality Constructions in 2014, was recognised with two Master Builder’s awards:
• Winner, Excellence in Housing 2014, Master Builder’s Association – Cabarita House
• Winner, Best Use of Zinc 2014, Master Builder’s Association – Cabarita House.

L.Peter Kollar Memorial Prize
The most significant personal award was for my thesis:
Space, Time & the Human Margin: A Way of Understanding Sacred Architecture Through Participation in Spatial & Temporal Symbolism, which was awarded the L. Peter Kollar Memorial Prize for 2022.
The prize criterion is:
“For excellent scholarship, making a significant contribution to the promotion of human dignity and social and environmental responsibility with respect for the whole human person in a whole world, the tripartite human nature comprising spirit, mind and body in a world with its corresponding spiritual, subtle and physical dimensions.”
This was particularly significant because Professor L. P. Kollar strongly influenced Ray and various architectural students at UNSW.
